"In, There, Some, Where" Series

Drawing energy from ancient Bantu “Garbage Event Rituals,” these assemblages are made of materials salvaged from Philadelphia garbage bins. It is the sacred duty of the artist to defend the beauty of the world. When things are given no value, we reach down, pick them up, and recognize them as precious.

"In/Trance" Series

These tiny “sculptures” are made entirely of acrylic paint, scrapped from the base of a mixing palette. The residue of a process.

To realize

Precisely what is

Always already

Here

Patient

While you look

The other way

"Exit(s)" Series

In this series made solely of cut plexiglass, the composed limits dividing the art object from the world are broken down.

“I can’t see it.”

“What is it that can’t be seen?”
